Manor sawn Yorkshire stone or 'Yorkstone' is a very desirable Yorkstone due to the characteristic colouring it displays. The stone when quarried is a light grey/buff to light brown and it tends to darken to a richer colour as it ages.
The combination of colouring & durability combined with Bingley Stone's ability to produce orders to specification in quick turnaround at prices that are generally significantly lower than many of our competitors.
Quarried since the 1840's Manor stone has proven its durability in many of Britain's fine Victorian buildings that are still testament to its strengths today. The stone is a fine grain carboniferous sandstone from the Cretaceous period (65 to 144 million years old)
Manor Yorkstone has has excellent skid resistance wet or dry.
